The biggest thing that helped me grow my business…and it’s really simple

by | Apr 14, 2021 | Blog

When I first started working with clients, helping them with their day to day tasks in their business, a lot of people tended to get stuck on how to scale, and that’s where I knew I could help! I realised I could connect the dots, and had experience of online courses that meant that I could help clients to move online, and scale.  Hello passive income!

I’ve worked with clients regularly on 6 figure launches, and have clients that pull in 6 figures months…and it was seeing how much I was helping other businesses succeed that in turn helped my own business grow.

So, the BIG thing that helped me was…

Realising that everything my clients do – I can do for myself.

I think I already knew this, however, I was always finding an excuse:

Not enough time

Not enough cashflow in the business

No team to help me

Not enough resources at my fingertips

Not enough content to use

I realised they were just excuses.  If you want to scale, and to really reach as many people as possible, you need to to stop making excuses to move forward.

When I created my first online course, all those excuses were in my head.  But I pulled some late nights, set up the skeleton of the course (so added the module titles, but not the content), worked on the framework, and the pitch. Then I sold the course.  Before I had built the content.

Once I had sold it, I then recorded it in my living room, off my computer, no fancy software, and just kept ahead of the curve in terms of making sure the next couple of modules due to be released had content in them.

I used what I had in my business at the time.  I did it all myself because I couldn’t afford a VA back then.

I’m now in the process of moving my content to a new portal, to give my customers a better experience – but that has only come further down the line, and what I used back then worked.

When I started to get busier, I knew that I would need to look at expanding my team.  Sometimes this is a financial hit, but for me it was very short term.  Expanding has meant the BaB capacity for new clients has grown, and also, I’m not having to do everything in my business, leaving me free to concentrate on those things that only I can do!

So fast forward a couple of years, and I have a team, I have online courses, and I have a business that works for me!

So I am asking you to take a look around you – take a look at your clients’ successes, see what is working in your industry, and ask yourself – can I do that?!

If the answer is yes, then let’s get down to the nitty gritty…read back over my excuses.

Do they sound familiar?

I then want you to really look at those reasons you are telling yourself that you can’t do it – and realise that you can.

Try it – let me know how it goes for you.

Here’s to a productive week!
